Competitive Swimming Full Program – Ages 6 & Up
Price: $535
REGISTRATION IS FULL

Since the 1970’s, the Marlins Swim Club has accelerated the swimming skills of thousands of children ages 4 & up. We help to develop a good winning and (losing) attitude, give the children goals to set and strive for, and most important of all, TO HAVE FUN in a competitive summer swimming environment! The swim season runs from May to mid-August. Over the season, depending on the swimmer’s ability, there will be 50-100 hours of pool time. Practices are held at Centennial and Robert Hope outdoor pools.

Prerequisites:

  • Swim 25 meters (1 length) any stroke/style without touching the bottom or wall. ability to jump or dive into the deep end of the pool.

 

 

Competitive Swimming Trial Program – Ages 6 & Up

Price: $150
REGISTRATION IS FULL

Not sure how well your child will respond to summer swim club? With our trial program, your swimmer(s) will swim with our club for the month of May. Just like the Full Program swimmers they will receive professional coaching, lot’s of constructive pointers, plenty of water time and an opportunity to strut their stuff at our inter-club time trials meet in the latter part of May. We guarantee a major improvement in their swim skills from this experience!

Prerequisites:

  • Swim 25 meters (1 length) any stroke/style without touching the bottom or wall. Ability to jump or dive into the deep end of the pool.

  • Open to new swimmers only. Must not have been previously registered with BCSSA.

 

Mini Marlins – Ages 5 – 8 

Price: $135
REGISTRATION IS FULL
*Please note that the Mini Marlins program is expected to run this year; however, COVID restrictions (or other circumstances) may require that this program be cancelled.
 

The Mini’s program is an introduction to competitive swimming for children ages five to eight who already have some basic skill. It is not meant to be a learn to swim program for a complete non-swimmer.

The program is a great building block for swimmers who have demonstrated an interest and ability in the pool but who may not be ready for our club’s full training and development programs. If you are unsure if this program is a correct fit for your child, please contact us for details on how to properly assess your child's swimming.

The program runs for 10 sessions over the course of 5 weeks beginning first week of July until the first week of August. 

 

Registration is limited to twenty (20) spots on a first come first serve basis. Please contact us to find out more information on availability.

 

Prerequisites:

  • RED CROSS SWIM KIDS LEVEL 3

  • Swimmers are expected to be comfortable in the water, able to confidently do a front float with their face in the water, and be able to support themselves in water over their head for at least a few seconds. They should be capable of jumping into deep water on their own and capable of swimming the width of the pool on their own.

 

Fall Maintenance

Two hours per week of athletic conditioning, technical maintenance and stroke & turn skill enhancement are provided. It provides a low coach per swimmer ratio ensuring excellent support & development in preparation for the summer season. No practices on Stat holidays. Priority for enrollment is given to registered Marlins members from the previous swim season. This is not a 'learn to swim' program. Adults Masters Swimming

Hosted by the City of Port Coquitlam at Hyde Creek, a great way for adults to stay in shape and to improve swimming skills! Certified coaches will run training programs with the focus on skill development in a social setting. If Masters competition is the goal, this club will provide you with the opportunity to compete!
